New Song: Drown Her Gently
Download the Mp3 here
"Drown Her Gently" started as a conversation I was having with good friend Vanessa. We were talking about letting someone down and she said "Brian, drown her gently". Right away I said "great title". I also knew that the "drown her gently" theme would go along great with a verse section I had written a few weeks before. As I attempted to bring the two together a new section developed into a 50's type chorus. Its always really exciting when something new presents itself during the writing process. I would have never come up with the 50's section without the verse and "drown her gently" parts. The structure of this song is rather odd as well; which I like. It starts with a slow verse that develops into the upbeat 50's section which then goes back into the verse melody but with the 50's beat. Soon after a towering tide of reverb guitars ushers in the "drown her gently" section. how nautical.... I hope you enjoy it.
p.s. don't forget to download the "Aimed Arrows" EP!
