* darling be evil - big sound with lots of guitars, vocals, bass, & drums all played by mr. starling himself.

* it's fine - chamber pop song that turns into a hard hitting power pop rollercoaster. lyrics about getting out of a burning bookstore.

* painting a room - sharp song about giving in with twangy guitars and heavy bass.

happy thanksgiving! i finished a new song about 10 min ago and decided that since its a holiday i would post it on myspace asap! its called 'all the good looking girls are dead' which sounds rather depressing but its really quite a upbeat song. give it a listen while you eat your pumpkin pie.

happy halloween!!!

hello friends. i posted a new song as a little treat for your halloween night. (http://www.myspace.com/paulstarling) its called 'day of the dead' & is about a evening out i had a few weeks ago. i play all the instruments on this one as i did with 'old tack pianos'. for some reason i've been pleased playing snare and tambourine. anyway hope your halloween is a good one. find some ghosts!!!

(old tack pianos) also there is a show this saturday in santa barbara @ rocks on state st. starts round 9pm with katy pearson singing you some of her beautifully crafted songs. after that you get mr. paul starling and his band of flying tea cups. it is sure to be a must see event.

i've been working on some new songs (as you know) and this one seems to stick out to most of the people i've played it to. so, i think maybe you will like it as well. i'm playing all the instruments on this one, just cause dave was busy with wicked. anyway enjoy. its called "old tack pianos"
