A New Year, New Projects

Hello everyone and a happy new year to you all! This year is already turning out to be quite exciting as many projects are nearing completion or about to start. As usual I continue to write and record many new songs as I can't seem to stop, nor do I want to. The newest is titled "Drown Her Gently" which is turning out to be quite a production with layered guitars and beefy bass. Yes I said beefy. The title came from a conversation I was having with dear lady Vanessa. We were joking about letting people down and she said "Brian please, just drown her gently". Right away I thought "great title". Anyway its nearly finished and I suspect when it is completely done I will post it here for all of you to hear. For a while now I have been hinting at big plans & I now can let you in on what they are. In the next couple of months I will be recording a brand new album! A full studio production with bells and whistles and banjos! Someone very special will be producing but I am not allowed to reveal exactly who they are yet. Soon, I promise. In addition to the new album I am working with my brother Kenny on a weekly hour long radio/podcast show that will be available exclusively here at the Paul Starling Blog. I'm sure many of you are familiar with various Live @ The BBC albums from artists such as The Beatles, Led Zep, Jimi Hendrix, The Zombies, etc. During these radio shows your favorite bands would play live versions of their most famous songs AND cover versions of songs they loved. In addition they would have short interviews and special guests. This is exactly what Kenny & I will be doing! Paul Starling songs, cover songs, special guests, and much much more! Stay tuned for that. Many many more projects are on the horizon for 2010 as well. A summer tour for instance........keep checking back for more updates & have a great 2010!
la la la love,
Paul Starling

vanessa's part two

Photobucket

this jacket was found in a box in my parents garage. i wore it all throughout elementary school and then tossed it away. it was always way too big for me but i seemed to not mind. now it is a bit too small but i still do not mind. the best part is that it has my name written in my 3rd grade handwriting on the inside tag.
